Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; led by President and CEO Yasuhiko Imaizumi) hereby announces that it has invested ¥1 billion in Fund III, which is managed by DNX Ventures, a venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley in the United States and in Japan.
By investing in this fund, the Company seeks to promote medium- to long-term development of new business through collaboration with the venture companies in which the fund invests, as well as to generate new revenue streams. The Company also plans to participate in support programs offered by DNX Ventures, with the aim of further enhancing its expertise in collaborating with venture companies.
Going forward, the Company will continue to seek out and support startup companies that are highly compatible with its business.

DNX Ventures is a venture capital fund that has operated out of Silicon Valley and Tokyo since 2011, primarily investing in B2B startups across the U.S. and Japanese markets. Including Fund III, the firm has managed four funds to date with a cumulative value of approximately ¥58 billion, made investments in over 100 startups primarily in Japan and the U.S., and supported 12 companies through to exit. Within the B2B startup sector, the firm primarily invests at the early stage in fields such as cloud SaaS, cybersecurity, frontier technologies, fintech, and retail tech.
As a long-standing member of the Draper Venture Network, a global venture capital network, the firm has earned a high level of trust, acting as a bridge between Japan and the U.S. Furthermore, it has established an extensive track record, including facilitating over 120 partnerships and collaborative initiatives involving Japanese startups.
